'Produce 101' boys will be covering songs by EXO, Seventeen, Super Junior, 2PM, SHINee, and more

It seems just like with the girls, the boys will be going head to head on their first mission by covering songs by sunbae groups. Songs include EXO's "Call Me Baby", 2PM's "10 Out of 10", INFINITE's "Be Mine", Seventeen's "MANSAE", B2ST/Highlight's "Shock", Super Junior's "Sorry Sorry", and SHINee's "Replay".

The first season's first round brought out a superstar in Yoo Yeon Jung, who wowed with her vocals in Girls' Generation's "Into the New World". Her team's video was the most-watched clip of the first round, and it was the first stepping stone into her being included as one of the final 11 in IOI. As it's an incredibly important mission, the boys are sure to be trying to get the songs that will fit them the best.

Maroo Entertainment spoke up about the bullying rumors regarding their trainee Han Jong Yeon.

After Han Jong Yeon's profile was released on the official website of 'Produce 101' season 2, a netizen claiming to be a former classmate of the trainee revealed a shocking story, stating that he was bullied and forced to masturbate in front of others by Han Jong Yeon.

On March 17, Maroo Entertainment shared an official statement regarding the controversy. It stated,

"After reading the post, we, Maroo Entertainment, personally met with the poster and apologized, and Han Jong Yeon expressed desires to take time of reflection. We sincerely apologize to the friend who was hurt, the producers who're working hard for 'Produce 101', CJ E&M associates, the fellow trainees who are working their best for their dreams, and all the supportive fans. We send a sincere apology to the friend who was hurt by Han Jong Yeon and announce that he decided to leave the show."

However, the label emphasized that Han Jong Yeon is not the one who forced the shocking actions. Maroo Entertainment stated, "It's confirmed with the poster that the classmate involved with provocative acts such as forced masturbation is, in fact, not Han Jong Yeon. We plan to take strict legal action against malicious rumors."

A 'Produce 101' season 2 contestant is already embroiled in rumors.

An alleged elementary and middle school classmate of contestant Han Jong Yeon posted on his Facebook,

I heard you are coming out on TV. I still cry while waking up from dreams when you appear. I still want to die when I hear your name and see your face. I worried that if I post this, you and your friends would do something to me or my friends, but I'm no longer the cowardly child, or the child who played by himself. Produce 101, keke. I hope you go high. I'll bring you down to the ground. I still can't forget you making me masturbate in front of others when I was in elementary school, making me fight other classmates by calling us Pokemon, stuffing me in the supply closet and making me skip lunch. But do you even remember me? The number of people you made suffer aren't just one or two. I went back and forth between life and death during elementary school and middle school because of you. You were the school bully during elementary school and middle school. I'll give you back the pain you gave me.

If anyone wants to talk to me about this, FB message me.

If you threaten me or say you'll come find me, I'll retaliate with legal measures.
